Operational Duties

• Fill in driving tender trucks if needed
• Deliver products/ NH3 tanks/ Parts if needed
• Some mechanical abilities
• Help on team projects
• Assist manager with daily operations
• Be available too employees. Get them an answer to whatever the question maybe
• Assist with daily startup and end of day routine

Operate Liquid Fertilizer Shed

• Manage contamination at all times. Eliminate all possible potential problem areas
• Keep track of bulk inventory both in bulk tanks and mini bulk cages. Notify manager about levels
• Manage inbound/outbound chemical deliveries. Always check that quantity is correct on each ticket and make sure that all tickets get into the office
• Manage rinse water. Try to minimize rinsate but maximize cleanliness
• Keep mini bulks on chemical rack full. Communicate with manager on what needs filled daily
• Shed floor/chemical tank dike must be clean at all times
• Make sure that each load is accurate
• Garbage and Jugs are to be emptied daily. Employees are to be available for assistance
• Manage Chemical Warehouse
  • Area is to be clean and organized at all times
  • Manage inbound/outbound deliveries. Double check quantities and get ticket to office
• Manage permanent minibulks
  • Store minibulks in sheds.
  • All minibulks must be kept spotless clean inside and outside
  • Follow guidelines mandated by law for operation
  • All product flowing through tanks must be weighed and documented
  • Accuracy of pumps is imperative
  • Maintain a small amount of parts to resolve potential problem areas in season
  • Keep a good volume of product labels on hand at all times
  • Documentation is too be kept in binder in office at all times
• Bulk tank inspections
  • Responsible for reporting bulk tank inspections for state inspectors
• Chemical knowledge
  • General understanding of rates and crops
  • Helps prevents problems/contamination/double check prior to loading.

Operate Dry Fertilizer Shed

• Mix/load fertilizer
• Guide trucks to maximize efficiency
• Notify management when products are getting low.
• Know how the belt system works and be able to fix problems. Employees are to be available for assistance
• Concrete is to be swept off every night. Do not allow fertilizer to get into rocks
• Manage inbound and outbound product delivery
