All positions are responsible for stewardship of applied products, the equipment assigned, and representing Sun Ag in a professional manner, enhancing clients experience. Safety is priority. Teamwork is essential to our future.

Responsibilities:

  • Precise blending & custom application of products to include:
  • Crop protection chemicals
  • Liquid and dry fertilizer
  • Anhydrous Ammonia
  • Equipment maintenance and operation
  • Operation of forklifts, loaders, and tender trucks
  • Required licensing needed to operate equipment
  • applicator equipment and machinery, shop tools, forklifts, class A and B trucks    
  • Plant maintenance
  • Roll stock
  • Unload deliveries 
  • Customer Service
  • Filling and delivering NH3 tanks
  • Loading customers’ vehicles with product 
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Willingness to work hours beyond those considered normal

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Class A CDL with HAZMAT, tanker, and airbrake endorsements (preferred)
  • O Sun Ag will assist in obtaining during employment
  • 1-3 years related experience and/or training (preferred)
  • Minimum of 10,000 acres application performed in a single year prior to being promoted

Required Skills/Qualities:

  • Approachable: puts others at ease, giving full attention, showing interest, and responding appropriately
  • Service Oriented: builds relationships both internally and externally by actively looking for ways to help people
  • Verbal and Written Communications: convey information in a professional manner
  • Organized: capable of working on several projects while maintaining rational and level-headed thinking
  • Problem Solver: analyzes problems and sources of conflicts, communicates with direct reports for problem solving and resolution
