John Layden

John Layden has been a dedicated member of the Sun Ag team for 38 years. He began his career as an applicator, advanced into management, and now serves growers in a sales role—bringing decades of hands-on experience to every conversation. John grew up on a grain and vegetable farm in east central Illinois, where he developed a strong appreciation for agriculture at an early age. He attended Joliet Junior College and Illinois State University, earning a degree in agriculture. Outside of work, John is the proud father of two daughters, Alysa and Andy. He enjoys snow skiing, biking, hiking, kayaking, volunteering in his community, and tackling home improvement projects.
